Kozu Yard Pantograph Monitoring System

This is a "remote monitoring camera system" which transmits camera images and conducts remote control wirelessly utilizing optical wireless (LAN) "LC2703-2".

Introduction of MPEG-2 codec enables the transmission of high resolution images.
Also suitable for outdoor use.
In addition to normal remote control such as Pan-Tilt-Zoom, the intended angle setting can be invoked instantaneously with the field angle setting memory function (Position Memory).
The introduction of LAN standard Ethernet allows the use of this system coexistent with the PC network.

This system utilizes DoPa (packet transmission) of NTT DoCoMo, Inc.

System Flow
Receive the latest information (news from Jiji Press and disaster alert, etc.) via DoPa network.

The latest information is stored in the internal memory of control device.

The latest data are sent to each interior information sign. Commands are sent to DoPa at regular intervals to receive the latest information.

Platform Image Transmission System

This is a "TV-camera system" that transmits the images of TV cameras installed on the platform to the vehicles in real-time and makes them appear on the TV monitor mounted on the cab car.

For compression, "MPEG2" that is widely used in such fields as DVD or high vision broadcasting is adopted. This allows the transmission of clear and smooth images.
Use of splitting and combining unit enables the display of multiple images simultaneously on one monitor.

Optical / SS Radio Hybrid Transmission Method
Optical / SS Radio Hybrid Transmission Method For AV (Audio Visual) signal transmission, optical transmission with greater reliability and SS radio transmission with a wider transmission area are adopted. Users can either select one of them or combine both based on their intended use and installation ambiance.

This wireless low power radio with a bandwidth of 2.4GHz is capable of transmitting images to a wide range.
The spread spectrum method is relatively less subjected to obstacles or noise and has an outstanding security. Having been technically approved by relevant authorities, no licenses or applications are necessary for its use within Japan.
